Here is a very interesting article in the magazine "Tradition". It outlines the evolution followed by the uniform of the French line infantry from 1830 to 1845. Most of these outfits are made in Algeria and those in the Crimea in 1845 and until 1860 for most. The drawings in black and white are from the Official Journal (OJ)
