am on my vacation, once will not hurt I will not uniforms but history. a friend showed me around the familistère Guise. The
familistère is a co-management experience a scene of unique habitat and a unique business or substantially the nineteenth century. Its author: John Baptite Godin. Inspired experiences Fourier, the contractor, owner smelters will create the same name under the second empire, a place housing for its employees. Designed and made with all the latest equipment from the time , at hygiene ( WC, showers, swimming pools, laundry rooms) at education (school library and life ....) Current (bursar, collecting ....) this experience is impressive.
Now a museum, on the familystery his system collective management of the business capital and housing, as well as productions Godin, stoves, pans, plates enamelled ... Wonderful collection!
The building is impressive especially since Godin opted for community housing in one block (the difference other experiments pre-socialist who choose individual housing). The interior is a huge tiled courtyard sheltered by a canopy . I found myself in the same architecture as the prison of Fresnes , built at the same time!
Experience to perdurée well after death Godin .
Guise is east of St Quentin in Picardy I suggest you visit! A few hours from Paris!
